UPSC Interview tips: UPSC has released the interview schedule of many exams. The mains examination for Civil Services Examination 2024 has also been concluded. Soon UPSC will release the result and after that the candidates who pass the Mains exam will have to appear in the interview round.
To give UPSC interview, a candidate should have many green flag qualities so that he can impress the interview board members. During UPSC interview, there are many big and small things which the candidate should take great care of. During the interview, the candidate should keep a smile on his face and sit properly (Body Posture).
1. Positive attitude- Before and during the interview, the candidate should think everything positive. Don’t let any negative thoughts come around you. And during the interview, listen carefully to the questions of the board members and answer them positively.
2. Listen carefully to the questions – Many people become nervous during the interview and are not able to listen carefully or understand the board members’ questions. In such a situation, ask them to ask the question again and then give your answer thoughtfully.
3. Sensitive- Be sensitive during the interview. If you feel that you have made a mistake, apologize immediately. Apart from this, answer sensitive questions sensitively.
4. Don’t be in a hurry – Don’t be in a hurry to answer any question. Listen to the question carefully and then answer it.
5. Have self-confidence – Candidates should have self-confidence and answer all the questions of the interview panel with confidence.
6. Do not lie – Candidates should not lie in answer to any question in their interview. If you have not done any thing or work then you should tell them the truth that you have no knowledge about that subject. Everyone likes to hear the truth.
7. Background information – Candidates should memorize their background information thoroughly. Like where you studied, geographical information around you etc.
8. Do not speak in the middle of the interview panel – During the interview, the candidate should take special care that you allow the interview panel members to speak completely, do not express your views in the middle of the question. Do not interrupt the panel.
9. Contact with interview members – Do not look away during the interview. Make eye contact with the interview panel and answer. But don’t stare at them. They should feel that you have their attention.
10. Simple and easy answers- Do not twist the answer to any question during the interview. Answer simply and directly (to the point). They should not feel that you are wasting their time.
