Big decision of NCTE, students doing 4 year B.Ed course will get scholarship, Career News

National Council for Teacher Training (NCTE) has prepared a proposal to give scholarship to the students of four-year BA B.Ed, B.Sc B.Ed running under the Integrated Teacher Education Programme. NCTE has taken this decision in its annual meeting and issued a notification and has also sent instructions to four-year B.Ed colleges. Till now B.Ed students did not get scholarship. NCTE has said that four-year B.Ed students will have to register on the National Scholarship Portal for scholarship. SC, ST, OBC, EWS and single girl child will benefit from this. NCTE says that this scholarship will help B.Ed students in their studies. Till now, students of these categories of other courses have been getting scholarship from the National Scholarship Portal.

Four-year B.Ed. is taught in four colleges in Bihar. Four-year B.Ed. is taught in four B.Ed. colleges in Bihar. All these colleges are in BRABU only. There are 100 seats in all the colleges. That means, in the first year, four hundred seats are available for admission in four-year B.Ed. Sources said that through this scholarship, about 600 to 700 students will get the benefit of scholarship in all four years. NCTE is considering starting a four-year B.Ed under the Integrated Teacher Education Program in colleges from the year 2025.

The proposal will be sent to the National Board of Accreditation

Those running a four-year B.Ed course will also have to get NIRF ranking done. NCTE has also given instructions for this. NCTE says that NIRF ranking of B.Ed colleges is necessary to increase the quality in B.Ed education. NCTE has decided that it will send a proposal to the National Board of Accreditation for NIRF ranking of B.Ed colleges.

Science labs will also be built in colleges to run courses.

Science labs are also to be built in colleges to run four-year B.Ed course. NCTE has also given this instruction to all the universities. Universities have been asked to investigate this matter and submit the report by December. In the four-year B.Ed, Science, Arts and Commerce will be taught, hence a science lab will be opened for science students.

Silent course will run for teachers of classes 6th to 8th

Massive Open Online Course has been started for science teachers of classes six to eight. This course has been started by NCERT. This course is being started for capacity development of science teachers. To do this course, all teachers of classes six to eight will have to register with NCERT.
