BPSC 70th CCE Prelims
Bihar Public Service Commission i.e. BPSC Prelims Exam will be held on the same date. The Commission is not currently considering extending the date. This information was given by BPSC Chairman Parmar Ravi Manubhai himself. He said that BPSC 70th Prelims Exam will be held on the scheduled date of 13th December. On the matter of extending the date further, he said, “There is no question of extending its date. The 70th Prelims Exam of BPSC will be held on the same date i.e. December 13 in the ‘one shift, one paper’ format.”
The students had demanded
This statement of the Chairman has come at a time when a group of protesting BPSC students met senior officials of the Commission and demanded from them to extend the date of the exam. Students claim that lakhs of candidates have not been able to fill the form due to server issues. However, the Commission refused to accept these demands and said that the examination would be held at the scheduled time only.
no server reason
The Chairman said, “The BPSC Prelims exam was already postponed from October 18 to November 4. Till now, 4.83 lakh candidates have already applied for the exam. This will be unfair to those who have already filled the form. Let me make it clear that there were no technical problems in the BPSC server. When the last date was extended from 18th October to 4th November, more than 1.40 lakh candidates had applied. Server was not disrupted.
Why can’t the exam be postponed?
He further said that if the date of examination is extended then it will be postponed till April-May 2025, due to which the entire examination process will be delayed by 5 to 6 months. He said that we will not be able to secure exam centres, invigilators or other necessary arrangements from January 2025 to March 2025 because many other examinations including final exams of class 10th, 11th and 12th and many other competitive exams are already scheduled.
Please note that recruitment for ‘Group A’ and ‘B’ posts will be done through combined (prelims) competitive examination. This examination will be conducted at 925 centers in the state and around 5 lakh candidates are expected to appear in it.
