New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) 2024-25 Class 10 and class 12 board examinations for educational years are starting from Saturday, 15 February. More than 42 lakh students will take the exam. CBSE Board Exam 2025 will be conducted in 7,842 centers in India as well as 26 countries around the world.

More than 42 lakh students will take the exam

According to the data shared by CBSE, a total of 24,12,072 students of class 10 will take the exam in 84 subjects, while 17,88,165 students of class 12 will take the exam in 120 subjects. The total number of students appearing in the examination is 42,00,237, which is 3,14,695 more than the total number of previous year 38,85,542.

On the first day of CBSE board examination, class 10 students will give English (communication) and English (language and literature) papers from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. Meanwhile, students of class 12 will give entrepreneurship papers in the same shift. CBSE board examinations of class 10 will end on March 18, while CBSE board examinations of class 12 will end on April 4.

Guidelines for entry on examination centers

According to CBSE officials, students will not be allowed to enter the examination centers after 10 am and will not be allowed to go out before 1:30 pm after the examination is over.

Regular students have been asked to bring together their admit card as well as the school identity card, while private students will have to show their admit card and any photo identity card issued by the government. In addition, regular students are mandatory to wear school uniforms, while private students can wear light clothes.

These items will not be able to take the examination centers

Tools like mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, smartwatch, wallets, goggles, handbags and pouches will not be able to be taken inside the examination centers.

CCTV will be monitored

CBSE Controller of Examinations Sanyam Bhardwaj informed that CCTV cameras will be installed at the examination centers so that transparency of the examination can be ensured. Assistant Superintendent will monitor CCTV footage of every 10 rooms at the examination centers. Any incident of inappropriate behavior will be reported and action will be taken.
