CBSE Affiliation Rules Changed: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has changed its affiliation rules. Now many branches of a school will be able to work under the same affiliation number. Earlier it was necessary to get a separate number for each branch, but now it will not happen.
What will happen for schools?
The same management: The ownership and operation of the main school and its branch will be the same.
Equal administrative process: In both schools, rules and systems will remain the same.
Separate staff required: Every branch will have to appoint teachers and employees, but their salary will be given to the main school.
Changes in admission and promotion of students
If a student goes from Primary Branch to the main school, it will not be considered a new entry.
It will be considered a normal promotion process.
New distribution of classes
Branch School: There will be studies from pre-primary to class 5.
Main School (Senior Branch): Class 6 to 12 will be studied.
After passing class 5, the student can directly go to the main school in class 6, without any new admission process.
Will be a common website
There will now be only one website for schools.
Separate information of the branch school will be given on the website, so that parents and students can easily get information.
Why was this change needed?
Earlier, it was necessary to get a separate affiliation number for every branch, which increased the administrative and financial burden on the school management.
Now with this new rule, school groups will be able to open new branches easily, and the students’ process will also be easier.
