CBSE Scholarship 2024-25: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is offering a lot of scholarship opportunities for students for the academic year 2024-25. The aim of which will be to assist those students who are studying in CBSE affiliated schools across the country. These scholarships are part of CBSE’s continuous efforts to provide financial assistance to deserving students, helping them to continue their studies and achieve their goals.
1. Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships (CSSS) for College and University Students
This scholarship is being provided to students since 2008. It is given to students who take admission in colleges and universities after passing class 12th with good marks.
Ability-
• Students must have obtained more than 80% marks in class XII.
• The student must have taken admission in regular programs. (Students studying in distance and correspondent courses are not eligible)
• The annual income of the student’s family should not exceed Rs 4.5 lakh.
• Candidate must not be receiving any other scholarship or fee waiver assistance.
• Diploma students are not eligible for this scholarship.
2. Board Merit Scholarship (BMS)
The aim of this scholarship is to provide assistance to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST).
Ability-
• Students must have passed class 10th and 12th from CBSE board.
• Minimum 80% marks must be obtained to be eligible for scholarship.
• Students receiving scholarship will be given Rs 12,000 annually.
3. Single Girl Child Scholarship
This scholarship is for single girl child studying in CBSE affiliated schools.
Ability-
• The student must have obtained at least 60% marks in five core subjects in class 10th.
• It is mandatory for the students to be studying in class 11th or 12th.
• Monthly tuition fees for Class 10 should not exceed Rs 1,500, with a maximum increase of 10 per cent for Classes 11 and 12.
