From the next academic year admission to Delhi University colleges can be made on the basis of Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores only if a proposal in this regard is approved by the decision-making faculty of the University.
The academic council of the university will meet on Tuesday to discuss changes in the admission process in colleges in view of the adoption of the entrance examination system.
With the implementation of CUET and based on the decisions taken in the meeting, the University of Delhi (DU) will do away with the earlier system of admission under which it used to announce the cut-off on the basis of class 12 board results.
Also, there will be minimum class 12 board exam marks, passing marks to take CUET. DU’s academic council will meet on March 22 to discuss the change in admission criteria as the university has decided to opt for CUET from the 2022-23 academic year.
The decisions taken in the academic council meeting are likely to be taken in the university’s executive council meeting to be held on March 25.
Know- CUCET Exam Pattern
Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) entrance test will be conducted online in the form of CBT (Computer Based Test). The duration of the exam will be 2 hours and will be approx. In which there will be 100 multiple choice questions. Applicants will be given 1 mark for the correct answer. There will be a loss of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

The CUCET exam will be divided into three sections, i.e., Section-A, B and C, which consists of. Questions will be asked in the exam from English Language, General Awareness, Mathematical Aptitude and Domain Knowledge and Analytical Skills.
