The first round of spot counselling was organised on Tuesday for admission to 391 vacant seats of B.Tech in Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Gorakhpur. The admission process started at 9 am. The counselling process continued till late night. Along with the candidates, their family members also reached the university campus in large numbers. For the convenience of the candidates, display arrangements were made for the first time.
Director of Admission Cell of MMMUT, Prof. Shriram Chaurasia said that a total of 433 candidates from Uttar Pradesh had come for admission. A total of 47 candidates from other states had come for admission. The attendance process for admission in the multipurpose hall went on from 9 am to 12 noon. The merit list of the candidates present was published at around 1 pm. The process of document verification, fee draft submission and seat allotment started at ITRC from 2 pm. First the counseling of students from outside states started. Out of 56 seats available for students from other states, 37 candidates took admission in their preferred subjects. At 4 pm, counseling started according to merit which continued till after 12 midnight. Classes of students who have got admission will start from September 4.
13th will be the second round of spot round counseling
Prof. Shriram Chaurasia informed that the second spot round counselling will be organized on 13th September for the vacant seats. For this, candidates can apply and deposit the fee from 4th to 13th September till 10 am.
Registration for BBA, B.Pharma and Lateral Entry starts today
Dean UG Prof. Vinod Mishra said that candidates will be able to register for admission in BBA, B.Pharm, B.Tech Lateral Entry and B.Pharm Lateral Entry from 4th. The first phase spot round counseling for these subjects will be held on 12th September. 34 seats are vacant in BBA and 8 in B.Pharm. 23 seats are vacant in B.Tech Lateral Entry and 7 seats are vacant in B.Pharm Lateral Entry.
