On Tuesday, Poxo’s Special Judge Prabhakar Singh convicted Hussain Ahmed, a resident of Topchanchi, in the case of raping a minor. The court has fixed April 9 for hearing the issue of sentence. The proceedings were conducted by Additional Public Prosecutor Committee Prakash. The accused in this case has been absconding for the last three years; The court gave its verdict in his absence. On the complaint of the victim’s father, an FIR was lodged at Topchanchi police station on 2 November 2022. According to this, Hussain used to call the victim by pretending to marry and raped her. The villagers once saw this incident. After this, Hussain agreed to marry the victim. But later he retracted from his promise.
PA Devashish gets bail:
Sita Soren, a BJP leader and Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s sister -in -law Sita Soren in a hotel in Saraidhela police station area of Dhanbad, was heard in the court of District and Sessions Judge Sanjay Kumar Singh on Tuesday on the bail petition of Devashish Manoranjan Ghosh, a resident of Madhuban apartment in Lower Hatia, Jail. Advocate KK Tiwari debated on behalf of the defense. Meanwhile, Additional Public Prosecutor Samiti Prakash strongly opposed the bail. After hearing the arguments of both the parties, the court ordered Devashish to be released on bail. It is noteworthy that Devashish has been in jail since 7 March 2025.
Witness statement recorded in MP Dhulu Mahato case:
