But here we are telling about a person who left the rest after retirement and took an out-of-the-box decision and started a new career and innings to fulfill his passion and dreams. The story of Jai Kishore Pradhan from Odisha teaches that there is no age for learning in life. Jai Kishore also proved wrong the notions in which it is considered impossible to start studies again or change career after a certain age. This is the story of Jai Kishore Pradhan, a retired employee of State Bank of India (SBI), who passed the medical entrance exam NEET at the age of 64 in the year 2020. He was successful in getting an MBBS seat at the government-run Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) in Burla, Odisha.
Jai Kishore Pradhan, who hails from Odisha, retired from SBI as deputy manager in 2016. Instead of taking rest, Pradhan chose to pursue his desire to pursue a career in the medical field.
Taking responsibility of the family, he started preparing for NEET. For this he started an online coaching for NEET. After hard work, he passed NEET exam in 2020 with good marks.
After his schooling, Pradhan took the medical entrance examination in 1974, but did not succeed. After this he did B.Sc. in Physics. Then he worked as a teacher in school and after that he worked in Indian Bank. After Indian Bank, got a job in SBI.
