From now on, school will not reject the request to give library books to students to study at home. Also, if the child loses the book or damages it, the library in -charge will not be held responsible. These are some of the major instructions in the guidelines issued to the schools.
According to department officials, almost all schools in the state have library, but books are mostly without reading and dusting in the shelves. According to the feedback received from the field, the department found that the main reason for not reading the books is reluctant to give books to the students on behalf of the library in -charge, because they are afraid that if the child loses the book or hurts it, then he himself Will have to pay only money.
Education Secretary Rakesh Kanwar mentioned in the guidelines, “Instead of giving students to read, attention is being paid to keeping books in safe and good condition.”
Due to the attitude of ‘keeping books safe’, most of the school students are failing to make a habit of studying and the younger minds are not giving a chance to enter the world of books.
