EOU of Bihar Police issued advisory before BPSC 70th Prelims exam
The Economic Offenses Unit or EOU of Bihar Police issued an advisory warning the candidates of the upcoming examination of Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC). He cautioned the candidates that fraudsters may spread misinformation or try to sell them fake answers through various means to compromise the integrity of the December 13 examination. Let us tell you that the combined (preliminary) competitive examination of BPSC is being conducted for recruitment to Group A and B posts. This examination will be conducted at 945 centers in the state, in which around five lakh candidates are expected to appear.
“The public is advised not to fall prey to misinformation and fraudulent calls from cyber fraudsters luring them to provide answer sheets for the December 13 BPSC exam,” the Economic Offenses Wing of Bihar Police said in a statement. There is a fear that anti-social elements may try to destroy the sanctity of the examination through rumors on social media platforms.”
Action will be taken against fraudsters
The statement said that people should immediately inform the police about any such case. It also said, “We advise people to avoid falling prey to such frauds. Those found involved in such activities will have to face serious consequences, including legal action. Criminal proceedings will be initiated against them.”
‘The examination will be conducted as per the scheduled schedule’
Meanwhile, BPSC Chairman Parmar Ravi Manubhai said that the 70th preliminary examination will be conducted as per schedule on December 13. He refuted rumors being spread on social media that the Commission may postpone the exam day due to protests against the alleged change in the exam rules. “The 70th preliminary examination of BPSC will be conducted on December 13 in ‘one shift, one paper’ format. More than 4.83 lakh candidates have applied for the exam and 3.75 lakh candidates have appeared for the exam,” BPSC Chairman said in a statement.
