Three people have been arrested on Tuesday (April 29, 2025) for allegedly raping a girl in Ranchi district of Jharkhand. The incident took place in Namkum police station area a few days ago, but the victim’s father lodged an FIR on Sunday (April 27, 2025). Ranchi Superintendent of Police (Rural) Sumit Kumar Aggarwal said, “A team was formed on the basis of the complaint and all the three accused involved in the crime were arrested. They have accepted their crime.”
According to the police statement, the accused have been identified as Jagdish Swansi (20), Vishnu Munda (18) and Deepak Munda (19). Mr. Aggarwal said that Mr. Vishnu knew the victim and was in touch on social media. According to the complaint, Shri Vishnu took the girl to the hilly area while returning from the market. Two companions of Shri Vishnu were already present in the area. He said that after this the three accused committed the crime.
