Give this powerful speech on Hindi Diwas today, you will get huge applause, Career News

English Diwas Speech: Today, on 14 September, the country is celebrating English Diwas. In fact, on 14 September 1949, English written in Devanagari script was given the status of official language by the Constituent Assembly. This day had a lot of historical importance. In such a situation, with the aim of promoting English, the government decided to celebrate this day as English Diwas. The first official English Diwas was celebrated on 14 September in 1953. English language binds people of different religions, castes, cultures, costumes and food habits of different states of India in the thread of unity. It keeps the country united. Not only this, English also works to connect Indians living abroad. English bridges the distances in the hearts of people living in different regions. English Diwas has an important place in terms of promoting English. Many award ceremonies are organized on this occasion to encourage English. Those who make important contributions in the field of English language are honored.

On English Diwas, English poetry competition, debate and speech competition, essay writing, poster and art competition, poetry symposium etc. are organized in schools, colleges and universities across the country. We are giving an example of a speech here to help school students. Students can get ideas for their speech from here.

English Diwas Speech ( English Diwas Speech )

Respected Principal Sir, teachers and my dear friends…

Today, 14th September is a day of pride for every Indian, especially English speakers. Today, the whole country is celebrating English Diwas with great enthusiasm. Today, 14th September is dedicated to English, the language that unites the whole country. English Diwas holds a lot of importance in India, a country full of cultural diversity. In different regions of India, people’s food habits, lifestyle, clothing, body structure, even ideology are different. In different parts of India, followers of different religions – Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Parsi and Jainism – live. And these religions are divided into different castes. People of different regions speak different languages. English eliminates the gaps of these diversities of religion, caste, language and culture. It is English that erases the distances in the hearts of people of different regions and keeps everyone tied in the thread of unity. English language works to connect Indians living abroad. Any Indian, wherever he is, expresses his feelings to other Indians only through the English language.

It is also important to know why English Day is celebrated. When did it start? Actually, on 14 September 1949, the Constituent Assembly gave the status of official language to English written in Devanagari script. In view of this, English Day started being celebrated every year on 14 September from the year 1953. The purpose of celebrating National English Day is to encourage the use of English. The main purpose of this day is to spread awareness about the maximum use of English in speaking, writing and reading.

In the last few years, technology has helped a lot in the expansion of English. Due to the internet, many people are connecting with English. English has been getting a lot of respect not only in our country but also at the global level. English is the third most spoken language in the world. English is taught as a subject in more than 170 universities of the world. English has official status in Fiji. Apart from Russia, America, this language has also developed rapidly in European countries, Asian countries and Gulf countries. English films are very popular in America, Russia, Africa, West Asia and Arab countries. The increasing acceptance of English all over the world has resulted in the abundance of English words in the world’s most prestigious Oxford Dictionary. Many English words like Achcha, Bada Din, Bachcha, Pandit, Thug, Papad, Timepass and Surya Namaskar have been included in it.

Today in India, even medical and engineering studies are being done in English. There is talk of court proceedings also being done in English. People are expressing their views in English on social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram. Crores of people are watching videos made in English on the Internet.

Even though English speakers are the most in our country, it is true that English has not yet become our national language. It has only received the status of an official language. Today we see English being limited to the language of entertainment, market, advertisement and seeking votes. The use of English in the functioning of the central government is very less. Today, English faces the same challenges as Sanskrit once faced. Ultimately, Sanskrit was exiled from public life and the country kept watching.

Today people are ignoring English and imposing English on their children. Friends, we have to promote English without disrespecting English. Speak English, implement it in everyday practical life, learn and teach English. Only through these efforts will the future of English be bright. Most of all there is a need to improve our mindset towards English. Our courts should provide justice in English language. English should be seen on medicines and doctors’ prescriptions. Not only children of economically weaker people but children of rich people should also be seen in English medium schools. English has to be made the language of concern, employment and knowledge.

Thank you. Jai Hind. Jai Bharat.
