12th English paper canceled.
Himachal Pradesh School Education Board has canceled the 12th class English examination at all the examination centers in the state due to the possibility of leaking paper. Officials gave information about this on Friday. In fact, at the Government Senior Secondary School located in Chauwari in Chamba district, teachers accidentally opened the English question paper of class 12 instead of class 10, after which this decision was taken. According to the information, the English examination of class 10 was on March 7, while the English examination of class 12 was on March 8.
Premature paper
According to the official notification issued by Himachal Pradesh School Education Board, an anonymous complaint was received on March 7. It was alleged that English paper of class 12 was opened before the scheduled date and time. The board then investigated the matter immediately and verified the claim using video evidence from the new monitoring system ‘Exam Mitra App’ introduced to increase security. Himachal Pradesh School Education Board Secretary Vishal Sharma said on Friday that the organization has taken the matter seriously.
Order to cancel the exam
Using the powers given under Section 2-1-2 of Himachal Pradesh School Education Board Examination Regulations, 1993 (amended till July 2017), the Chairman of the Board ordered to immediately cancel the 12th class English examination across the state. He emphasized that maintaining the purity of the examination process is the highest priority and no lapse in security will be tolerated. According to the notification, the new date of re -examination will be announced at the appropriate time. Students are advised to keep information through the official communication of the board.
