IIM CAT result 2024
CAT 2024 Result: Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata has released the result of Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024. Candidates who appeared in this examination can check it by visiting the official website iimcat.ac.in. Remember that students can check their result using login credentials. Please note that out of 3.29 lakh registered eligible candidates, 2.93 lakh students appeared in this examination. In these, engineering students and male candidates have performed brilliantly. Of the 14 students who scored 100 percentile, 13 are engineers. Gender-wise, the top scorers include 13 men and one woman.
30 students achieved 99.98 percentile
Additionally, 29 candidates scored 99.99 percentile, of which 25 were engineers and 4 were from non-engineering backgrounds. This group included 27 men and only two women. 30 students have secured 99.98 percentile. Whereas, among the 3.29 lakh registered candidates, category wise, 67.53% were from General category, 16.91% from NC-OBC, 8.51% SC, 2.25% ST, 4.80% EWS and 0.44% PWD. Of the 2.93 lakh candidates, 67.20% were from the general category.
IIMs will soon release the shortlist for the next stage of admission based on CAT scores and institute-specific criteria. Along with IIMs, 86 non-IIM institutes will also accept CAT 2024 scores for their management. Candidates are advised to verify the registration status of the institute on CAT website before applying.

When was the exam held?
The CAT 2024 exam took place on November 24, 2024, across 389 test centers across 170 cities and was conducted in three shifts: 8:30 am – 10:30 am, 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm and 4:30 pm. pm – 6:30 pm. After this, the provisional answer key was released on 3 December and then the final answer key was released on 17 December.
