IIT Kanpur started registration process for JEE Advanced 2025, so many students will give exams

There is big news for millions of students waiting for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advance 2025. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has started the online registration process for JEE Advance 2025 from 21 April 2025. Students passing JEE Main 2025 can now register on the official website jeeadv.ac.in. The last date for registration has been fixed on 2 May 2025, while the fee can be paid by 5 May 2025.

So much success in JEE Main

This year, 2,50,236 students have appeared in the JEE Main examination, which is the lowest number in the last six years. It is clear from this that now the selection process has become more competitive. Eligible students will need more efforts to pass the difficult exam of JEE Advanced.

Registration fee information

SC, ST, Divyang and women candidates will have to pay Rs 1600 for JEE Advanced 2025, while other category students will have to pay Rs 3200.

Conduct of examination

The JEE Advance 2025 Exam will be held on 18 May 2025 in two shifts. The first shift will be from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and the second shift will be from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

eligibility criteria

Candidates who get rank in BE/BTech paper of JEE Main 2025 can appear in this exam. General category candidates should be born after 1 October 2000 and reserved category candidates should be born after 1 October 1995. Also, they should pass class 12th in 2024 or 2025 with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) subjects.

These are important things

Candidates can sit in JEE Advanced only twice in two consecutive years. Students getting admission in any IITs through Josa 2024 will not be allowed to sit in JEE Advanced again, even if their admission has been canceled.
