The much awaited group ‘A’ Intra-Sanic School Football Tournament 2025-26 was launched on Tuesday with a spectacular inauguration ceremony at Sainik School Kunjpura. Acting Principal Wing Commander Manpreet Singh was present as the chief guest at the program.
The ceremony began with a march-paste, demonstrating unity and enthusiasm by the parties of the participating schools, after which the swearing-in ceremony took place, in which the cadets took an oath to maintain sportsmanship and fair game.
Addressing the gathering, Wing Commander Manpreet Singh emphasized the importance of teamwork, discipline and perseverance in the Games. He encouraged all the participants to play and learn and move forward with honesty.
Administrative officer Squadron Leader Sonia Sharma, Senior Master Sanjay Chauhan, program in -charge BN Jha and the entire academic and administrative staff were present at the inauguration ceremony.
In the inaugural match, hosts Sainik School-Kunjpura won 1-0 against Sainik School-Sujanpur Tera. The tournament with categories of Sub-Junior Boys (Under-15), Junior Girls (Under-17) and Junior Boys (Under-17) will run till 26 April. The winners of each category will participate in the inter-group football tournament to be held at Sainik School in Bhubaneswar, Odisha in May. On getting success there, you can get a chance to represent the Sainik School Society in Subroto Cup 2025.
