IIT Kanpur PHD Fellowship: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur has today launched the Fellowship for Academic and Research Excellence (FARE) for PhD students. The purpose of the fellowship is to encourage timely completion of doctoral studies while promoting high-quality research output, the press release said.
The registration process is now open for full time PhD students currently enrolled at ITI Kanpur who submit their thesis within five years of enrollment in the PhD course. Students who submit their thesis within five years and six months are also eligible, however the duration of the fellowship will be decided accordingly.
Eligibility criteria include having published their first research paper in a reputable journal or conference or a paper that arises directly from their PhD research. The fellowship is for students of Y18 batch.
Through this fellowship, students will also get 12 months financial support, stipend and additional research related grants.
