JEE Main 2022 Eligibility Criteria and RulesThe application and registration process for JEE Main Main – the much awaited Joint Entrance Examination for admission to engineering education institutions across the country is underway. In this regard, after consultation with the Union Ministry of Education, the All India Council for Technical Education amended the rules. Age Limit for JEE Main
As per the instructions released on the official website of NTA, no age limit rules are applicable for candidates to appear in JEE Main Exam 2022. Candidates who have passed class 12th equivalent examination in 2020, 2021, or are appearing in 2022 examinations can appear for JEE Main examination. However, candidates are required to fulfill the age limit criteria of the educational institution where they wish to take admission, if applicable.
Qualifying exam passed in this period
Only those candidates are eligible to appear in JEE Main 2022, who have passed class 12th or equivalent examination in 2020, 2021, or who are appearing in class 12th and equivalent examination in 2022. It is also important to note that candidates who have passed class 12th or equivalent examination on or before 2019 or who will appear for class 12th examination in 2023 and onwards are not eligible to appear in JEE Main 2022. Huh.
Have been in class 12th, any three of these subjects
As per the new rules of AICTE, students seeking admission in engineering courses are required to take admission in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Computer Science, Electronics and IT, Technical Vocational Subjects, Biotechnology, Agriculture, Business Studies and Engineering etc. Must have passed 12th class with any three subjects.
