National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the new schedule for the UGC-NET exam which was postponed to January 15, 2025. This examination will now be conducted on January 21 and 27, 2025. The examination could not be conducted on the pre-determined dates as Pongal, Makar Sankranti and other major festivals were being celebrated in the country on these dates. Due to this it was decided to postpone the examination. Now the candidates will get the opportunity to take the examination as per the new schedule. This time, the revised admit cards will be made available to the candidates appearing in the examination soon on the official website of UGC NET, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
For this reason the paper was postponed.
This decision was taken due to Pongal, Makar Sankranti and other festivals. On January 13, 2025, the National Testing Agency had issued an official notice in this regard stating that due to these festivals, the UGC NET December 2024 examination to be held on January 15, 2025, has been postponed. This decision was taken keeping in mind the importance of festivals and the busy schedule of students these days.
Now the paper will be held on these new dates
As per the new dates, the examinations for the following subjects will be conducted in the morning shift (9 am to 12 noon) on January 21, 2025:
indian knowledge system malayalam urdu
Labor Welfare/Personnel Management/Industrial Relations/Labor and Social Welfare/Human Resource Management
Crime Tribal and Regional Language/Literature Folk Literature Konkani Environmental Science
The examination of the following subjects will be conducted on 27 January 2025 in the evening shift (3 to 6 pm):
Sanskrit Mass Communication and Journalism Japanese Performing Arts – Dance/Drama/Theatre Electronic Science Women’s Studies Law Nepali

NTA has not released the new admit card yet. Admit cards will be released soon on the official website. Then you will be able to easily download the admit card, for this you have to follow some simple instructions. First of all they have to go to the official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in. Click on the UGC NET Admit Card download link available on the homepage of the website. They then submit their login credentials. After this the UGC NET Admit Card will appear on the screen. Candidates should check their admit card carefully and then download it.
