Delhi News Desk !!! The Supreme Court will again hear the petitions filed in the NEET case on Thursday, July 18, 2024. From allegations of paper leak to the demand for cancellation of the exam, many issues will be discussed today. In the last hearing, the court had said that some parties have not received the affidavits filed by NTA and the Center. During this time, affidavits reach them and they get a chance to prepare their reply. After this, the case will proceed today.

So many petitions will be heard

The case will be heard by a bench of Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud and Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice Manoj Mishra. More than 40 petitions will be debated today. It will also discuss the petitions that were filed in different High Courts and for which the NTA had said that all of them should be transferred to the Supreme Court.

got the next date

The last hearing was held on July 11 and the apex court had extended the hearing as some parties had not received the replies given by the Centre and NTA. Last time the court had also received the CBI report on which the court had asked to talk in the next hearing i.e. today.

Citing IIT Madras report

Let us tell you that in the last hearing, the Center had cited the report of IIT Madras and said that this data analytics report shows that there has been no large-scale rigging in the examination. Also, no special advantage has been given to the students of any particular center. Students have got good marks at many centers.

What did NTA have to say?

NTA also filed a separate affidavit saying that it has conducted a separate investigation into the distribution of marks and found that these marks have been given to the candidates in a normal manner and no other factor is responsible. As the court proceedings progress, it will be known what decision comes in this matter.

Answers sought for three questions

The court had asked NTA to give clear answers to three questions. First, when was the paper leaked for the first time, second, how are question papers distributed and third, what was the actual time difference between the time of paper leak and the time of the exam. Today, NTA, the Center and the petitioners who have filed against the exam will all have to present their side. The eyes of about 24 lakh candidates are on the court and everyone wants to know what will happen next in the case.
