Happy Teachers’ Day 2024: The Department of School Education and Literacy under the Ministry of Education has released the list of winners of the National Teacher Award 2024. This year in 2024, 50 teachers from all over the country will be given this honor. To give this honor, a program will be organized at Vigyan Bhavan, Delhi on September 5, 2024.
All these 50 teachers have been selected from 28 states, 3 union territories and 6 organizations of India. There are 34 male teachers, 16 female teachers, including 2 Divyang teachers and 1 teacher who works with Children with Special Needs (CWSN). Let us tell you that on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, apart from these 50 teachers, 16 teachers from the Department of Higher Education and 16 teachers from the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship will also be honored. This honor will be given to the teachers by the President of India, Draupadi Murmu ji.
What is the National Teacher Award given for-
The National Teacher Award is given to those teachers who have made significant contributions in the field of education and have influenced their students. Due to which there has been progress in the education system of India. To honor the achievements of such special teachers, these awards are given.
National Teacher Award Honors Amount-
In the National Teacher Award, teachers are also given money as an honor. Teachers are given a sum of Rs 50,000 and a silver medal. Apart from this, a citation is also given for their achievements.
The National Award to Teachers was started in the year 1958. From the mid-60s, the date of this program was fixed as 5 September.
