A big news has come out for millions of medical students preparing for NEET-PG 2025 exam. The examination of NEET-PG (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test Post Graduate) to be held on 15 June 2025) has been postponed. This decision has been taken by the National Medical Science Examination Board (NBEMS) keeping in mind the orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court. There is now a situation of confusion among the students regarding the examination, but the NBEMS has clarified future plans and reasons in its official notice.

Decision taken after Supreme Court order

The official notice issued by the NBEMS stated that the Hon’ble Supreme Court has directed that the NEET-PG 2025 examination be conducted with full transparency and safe centers and conducted in the same Pali. For this, it is mandatory to arrange the necessary infrastructure and adequate examination centers.

In compliance with this order of the Supreme Court, NBEMS said: “NEET-PG 2025 Exam, which was to be held on 15 June 2025, is now postponed so that more examination centers and necessary facilities can be ensured. The next date of examination will be announced soon.”

City slip and admit card also postponed

Before the NEET-PG 2025 examination, the examination city slip of the candidates was to be released on 2 June 2025, but due to the postponement of the examination, this process has also been stopped. NBEMS has informed that information about the new date of admit card, new date of examination, and examination centers will be updated soon. Students have also been requested not to be confused and the official website of NBEMS (https://natboard.edu.in) Keep checking updates from time to time.

Why was this decision taken?

For some time, questions have been raised about the transparency and fairness of national level competitive examinations in India. In this context, the Supreme Court directed to take vigilance regarding conducting big and sensitive examinations like NEET-PG.

The purpose of the court is to ensure that:

All candidates get equal opportunities.

There is no technical disturbance or inequality in the examination system.

Incidents such as question paper leaks or center-based irregularities can be stopped.

Keeping these reasons in mind, NBEMS has been given the responsibility of conducting the examination under a comprehensive and safe scheme.

Disappointment among millions of students, but hope continues

While millions of students have been disappointed by the news of the postponement of the examination, they are also considering this decision to be necessary from the point of view of security and fairness. Many medical students are discussing on social media that there will be more time in the preparation for the exam, but changes in repeated dates can also cause mental stress. Students say: “We were preparing for this exam for several months. After the date is set, mental preparations are made, but now everything has changed again. Hopefully the new date will be announced soon so that we can focus again.”

What next?

It has been clarified by NBEMS that:

The new exam date will be announced soon.

New dates of City Intemission Slip and Admit Card will also be officially updated.

All students should get information from official website and reliable sources.

Therefore, students are advised not to panic, maintain their preparation and stay away from rumors. This decision has been taken to ensure transparency, equality, and reliability of the test.

conclusion

The postponement of the NEET-PG 2025 exam may be a shock for students, but this decision can be considered a positive step towards establishing a transparent and safe examination system over the long term. Now everyone’s eyes are on the NBMS to share the new date and other information related to the examination as soon as possible so that there is no hindrance in the preparation of the students. There is an appeal to the students to continue their studies with positive thinking and wait for any official information.
