World University Rankings 2025: Times Higher Education (THE) has released the World University Rankings 2025. Once again, for the ninth time, Oxford University has topped the ranking list. Oxford University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard University have taken the top three positions among more than 2,000 institutions from 115 countries and territories, according to the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2025.
Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, has slipped to 251-300 band in the Times Higher Education’s new World University Rankings 2025. The rankings of Anna University, Mahatma Gandhi University, Savita Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences and Shoolini University of Biotechnology and Management Sciences have improved and all four have entered the band of 401-500. However, the ranking of Jamia Millia Islamia has gone down (501-600) compared to last year. Indian Institute of Technology Indore is one of the biggest names to have entered the 501-600 band with UPES.
