UGC NET December 2024
If you have not been able to apply for UGC NET in December then this news is for you. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the registration date for the University Grant Commission-National Eligibility Test December session by one day. Now the registration date for UGC NET December session 2024 will remain open today i.e. till 11.59 pm on 11th December. In such a situation, those candidates who have not been able to apply till now due to any reason can fill the application form by visiting the official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in. NTA issued a notice and gave this information.
“National Testing Agency (NTA) has received various representations from the candidates to extend the last date for submission of online application form for UGC-NET December 2024,” the official notice said.
Fee date also increased
NTA has also extended the last date for depositing the examination fee by one day. Candidates can now deposit the application fee for UGC NET December 2024 till 12th December. Earlier, the last date for submission of application form was December 10 and the last date for fee payment was December 11.
How much fees will have to be paid?
To register for UGC NET 2024 December session exam, general or unreserved category candidates will have to pay a registration fee of Rs 1,150. People belonging to General-EWS and OBC-NCL categories will have to pay Rs 600, while candidates from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PWD) categories will have to pay Rs 325.
Correction window date also extended
Along with extending the registration deadline, NTA has also updated the application correction schedule for the UGC NET December 2024 exam. As per the official notice, candidates will now be able to make corrections in their UGC NET December 2024 form on December 13, 14.
The official notice reads, “Candidates can make corrections in the details submitted online in their forms through the https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in But you can make corrections during the period when the correction/editing window is live.”
When will the exams be held?
UGC NET December 2024 exam is scheduled to be held from January 1 to 19, 2025. The UGC NET 2024 exam for the December session will be held for 85 subjects to determine the eligibility of candidates for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointment as Assistant Professor and PhD admissions.
