UGC NET Result: The matter of delay in the result of UGC NET exam may reach the Supreme Court. Supreme Court advocate Ujjwal Gaur has come out in support of the candidates protesting against the delay in UGC NET result. Ujjwal Gaur, member of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) and Delhi High Court Bar Association (DHCBA), has written a letter to the UGC and NTA saying that due to the long delay in the declaration of UGC NET result, students are facing a lot of problems and stress. Have to do it. He indicated that if the delay in results continues, he will approach the court to get justice for the students.

He wrote on the social media platform The continued delay is a serious violation of students’ rights and is causing unnecessary hardship. If needed, we are ready for judicial intervention. Rest assured, I stand firmly with you in this fight for justice. Stay strong, we will get through this together!’

In a letter written to UGC and NTA, Gaur has emphasized on the academic and professional problems faced by the students due to the long delay in UGC NET result. He has said that the delay in the result is not only an undermining of the efforts of the students but it is also a violation of their fundamental rights (Articles 14 and 19 (1) – G of the Indian Constitution) which guarantee equality before law and freedom in any profession. Gives freedom to choose. Gaur has warned NTA and UGC at a time when applications for many academic and professional vacancies are about to close. Due to delay in results, students will be deprived of applying for those recruitments.

Students are expressing their protest on social media

UGC NET candidates have been demanding the release of UGC NET result from NTA and UGC on social media for the past several days. They are registering their protest against the delay by tagging NTA and UGC. The candidates say that first the paper was canceled without any reason, then now the result of the re-exam is not being released. Candidates say that there were many mistakes in the answer key, in some papers the answers to 30 out of 150 questions were wrong. In such a situation, along with the result, they are also waiting for the final answer key.

NTA i.e. National Testing Agency had conducted the UGC NET examination for June session between 21st August to 4th September. Earlier, the UGC NET exam for the June session was scheduled to be held on June 18, 2024 but it was canceled on suspicion of paper leak. However, later in the CBI investigation this evidence was found to be wrong.

UGC NET exam is conducted twice a year for Junior Professor Fellowship and Assistant Professor in universities and other higher education institutions across the country. From this time onwards, UGC NET score is also to be accepted as an entrance test for PhD.
