The candidates seeking relaxation in age limit in the recruitment of Assistant Forest Conservator (ACF) and Range Officers released by Jharkhand Public Service Commission got relief from the High Court on Thursday. The court of Justice Deepak Roshan has directed JPSC to accept offline applications of the applicants. The court has asked the applicants to submit their applications to the examination controller of JPSC. The court said that this matter of appointment will be affected by the final order of the court. 30 August is the last date to apply for the appointment. In this regard, a petition has been filed in the High Court on behalf of Pintu Kumar and 16 other applicants.
During the hearing, advocate Aparajita Bhardwaj, on behalf of the applicants, told the court that JPSC has issued an advertisement for the appointment of ACF and Range Officer. But the government’s resolution of 2003 was not followed, in which applicants in government service are given five years relaxation in age.
The applicants said that the government has issued an advertisement for appointment to these posts after about 24 years. In such a situation, they should be given age relaxation. Advocates Sanjay Piperwal and Prince Kumar Singh, on behalf of JPSC, told the court that a requisition was sent by the government, after which the appointment process is being done. The government has the right to give age relaxation. On this, the court has provided interim relief to the applicants.
