PM Modi expressed grief
Naveen was studying in the fourth year of medicine at Kharkiv National Medical University. According to media reports, when he was going towards the station from his apartment, he came under fire due to Russian attack. Due to which he died. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has also expressed grief over Naveen’s death by tweeting. PM Modi has also spoken to Naveen’s father Gyangowda Shekharappa and expressed his condolences. He told that PM Modi has assured him to make arrangements to bring back Naveen’s body from Ukraine in two to three days.
Naveen was a good student since childhood
Gyanagouda Shekharappa told that Naveen was a good student in studies since childhood. He had never tutored. He got 96 percent marks in class 10th. At the same time, he had secured 97 percent marks in class XII. Naveen was dreaming of becoming a doctor since class 10th. Shekharappa further told that due to the country’s education system and casteism, Naveen could not get a medical seat. Referring to capitation fee and bribe, he said that students have to pay Rs 1 to 2 crore for a medical seat here.
Displeasure with the political, educational system
Shekharappa further said that I am sad with the country’s political, educational system and casteism. The country is all in the hands of private institutions. Why do crores of rupees have to be paid when education can be got for only a few lakh rupees? Education, equipment etc in Ukraine is much better than in India. He told that he had taken money from his friends and relatives for Naveen’s education. Accusing the politicians of poor education system, he appealed to PM Modi to make arrangements for better education in educational institutions at less cost. He said that at least now some efforts should be made in this direction.
He appealed to the Foreign Ministry officials to bring back other students stranded in Ukraine. He said that we are not getting any information. No one is informing us about the safety of our children.
