According to a senior police officer, during a campaign on Monday (31 March 2025) on the Dantewada-Bijapur border in Chhattisgarh, a senior member of the banned Communist Party of India (Maoist), who had a total reward of Rs 45 lakh from the states of Chhattisgarh and Telangana, was killed by security forces. The deceased Maoist has been identified as 49 -year -old Renuka, who was a resident of Warangal district of Telangana, was in charge of the press team of the Central Regional Bureau (CRB) of Maoists. Superintendent of Police (Dantewada), Gaurav Rai said that she also edited a magazine for Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee, which is considered to be the strongest organization within the Maoist organization. He said that Chhattisgarh and Telangana had declared a reward of Rs 25 lakh and Rs 20 lakh respectively for his arrest.
