UPSC Mains Essay Paper: The civil service main examination of the Union Public Service Commission began on Friday. On the first day, there was an essay paper in the shift from 9 to 12. Out of 325 candidates in the Government Inter College in Prayagraj, 321 and six handicapped candidates appeared in the examination in the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission on the first day. Entry was closed at 830 in GIC and one candidate did not get entry when he reached at 840.
Candidates who came out from Nirmala College Center in Ranchi described the overall questions as moderate. Divyanshu Shandilya of Doranda said that this is his last attempt. The essay paper was good. More questions were asked on the philosophical side. Time management was good, although the second section took more time than the first section. He said that the overall questions were moderate. Rahul Verma of Bariatu said that the essay paper was moderate. It required a lot of analysis, especially the first section. It took more time to manage both the sections. Pooja Sharma of Harmu said that this is her third attempt. She said that this time the essay paper was quite easy. Before this, the candidates had to go through a thorough checking system.

Exams will be held in two shifts today. The exam will be held in two shifts on Saturday. Paper two will be from 9 am to 12 pm and paper three will be from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm. The exam will be held in two shifts on Sunday as well. After this, the exam will be held in two shifts on September 28 and 29 as well.
