There will be bumper recruitment in LG Delhi Government, LG said- DSSSB will recruit 20 thousand posts by March 2025, Career News

Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on Friday distributed appointment letters to 627 newly appointed employees of the Delhi government and Delhi Development Authority (DDA), including 27 doctors, at a function held at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi. Speaking on the occasion, Saxena said that the recruitment process has been expedited by the Delhi State Subordinate Services Recruitment Board (DSSSB) and 20,000 more government posts are expected to be filled by March 2025, which will drastically reduce vacancies in various departments of the Delhi government.

Congratulating the newly appointed employees, the Lieutenant Governor said in a post released on the social media platform ‘X’, “We are committed to the direction of the Hon’ble Prime Minister to end adhocism in government jobs and create opportunities for eligible candidates in a free, fair and transparent manner.”

In another post, he said that more than 17,000 permanent recruitments have been made by DSSSB in the last two years, which is more than the total recruitments made in the last 10 years.

The candidates who were given appointment letters by the Lt Governor have been appointed in various departments including Education, Health and Family Welfare, Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC), Fire Services, DUSIB, NDMC, MCD, NDMC and Irrigation.

The Lt Governor said that the permanent recruitments are in line with the Prime Minister’s vision of a ‘Developed India’ by 2047. He urged the newly appointed employees to perform their duties with zeal and enthusiasm with utmost honesty and transparency for the betterment of the people of Delhi.

He also directed to fill all the vacancies as soon as possible so that citizen-centric services can be improved in Delhi. Delhi Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar emphasized the need to prepare a framework for capacity building of government employees and a completely secure examination system equipped with cyber security features.

DSSSB Chairman Shurbir Singh said that in the last two years, the board has conducted examinations for 177 different posts. He said that till now the process for filling about 18,000 vacancies is in various stages, which will be completed soon.
