Board examinations postponed
These days, snowfall has been seen from Rajasthan to Jammu and Kashmir. Himachal Pradesh received so much snowfall that records were broken. Now news is coming that the Himachal Pradesh School Education Board has posted the board exam for two districts of the state. The board has also given the reason behind postponing board exam. The Himachal Pradesh Board said that due to continuous heavy rains and fresh snowfall, board examinations will not be conducted till March 8 in the Iron-Spiti and Pangi areas of Chamba district.
What was said in official notification?
The official notification states, “Everyone is informed that due to heavy rains and snowfall in the state, there has been widespread damage to roads and roads in Pangi and Lahaul and Spiti districts of Chamba district. In this case, keeping in mind the interests of the students, the board has decided to postpone the examinations.”
It is further said, “The dates of the postponed examinations will be informed separately by the board. In the remaining parts of the state, the examinations will be conducted as per the datesheet released by the board.”
Which subject examination postponed?
The board said that the examinations that will remain postponed till March 8, among them the folk culture of Himachal and Yoga, Sanskrit, painting, home science, music, Punjabi, Urdu and class 9 mathematics, social science and class 10 (regular and SOS) Hindi, music, financial literacy, English and class 11 English and class 11 English, Public Administration, Geography and
Class 12 are the examinations of Economics, Physics, Public Administration, Financial Literacy and English.
Alert in many places in the state
The local Meteorological Department has also issued an orange alert of heavy rains, snowfall, thunder and lightning in many places in Himachal Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Department, an orange alert has been issued for Chamba, Kangra and Lahaul and Spiti districts.
