UGC NET Exam 2022: UGC Grant Commission (UGC) has extended the date of online application for National Eligibility Test (NET) exam. Candidates can now submit the form till May 30, 2022. UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar wrote on Twitter that the date of online application for the combined session of UGC NET December 2021 and June 2022 has been extended. Students will now be able to submit applications till May 30. They suggest the candidates to check the official website for more details.
It is to be noted that earlier the NET exam for the merged cycles was to be conducted in the 1st/2nd week of June 2022. The announcement comes at a time when NTA had initiated the process to make corrections in the application form for UGC-NET. The deadline to make these changes was May 23, 2022 at 9 PM.
UGC NET is conducted twice a year. However, this time the June 2022 cycle of UGC NET was postponed due to the postponement of the December 2021 cycle due to COVID-19. Thereafter, the NTA has clubbed the cycles of December 2021 and June 2022 together.
