Uttar Pradesh Board has released the schedule of 10th and 12th examinations. Board examinations in schools of the state will be held between February 24 and March 12. It was believed that due to the Kumbh Mela, the date of examinations could be extended, but the UP Board has not done so and the examinations are being conducted as per schedule. UP Board is the largest board in the world to conduct examinations. This time more than 55 lakh students will appear in the 10th and 12th board exams. In such a situation, policemen will be needed to maintain security in the examination centres. At the same time, policemen will be on duty on a large scale in the Kumbh Mela also. Kumbh Mela is to be organized in Prayagraj between 13 January to 26 February.

In the order issued by the UP Board, it is said, “It is advertised and circulated for the information of the general public that the examination schedule for the High School and Intermediate Board Examination year 2025 conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, U.M. has been declared. High School And Intermediate examinations will start simultaneously from 24th February, 2025 and end on 12th March, 2025.”
Exams will start in December
The practical examinations of UP Board will start in December and end in January. This year a total of 54,38,597 candidates will appear in the board examinations. Of these, 27,40,151 candidates will appear for high school and 26,98,446 candidates will appear for intermediate examinations. To prevent cheating in examinations, control rooms will be created at the board headquarters, divisional and state levels. Online monitoring will also be done through CCTV cameras.
New Secretary of UP Board Bhagwati Singh said that they are conducting the board examinations for the first time. He expressed confidence that all the examinations will be conducted smoothly and fairly. The policies made to prevent cheating will be implemented effectively, so that the credibility of the examinations is maintained.
What was in the academic calendar?
UP Board had given time till the first week of January 2025 to complete the syllabus of all classes in the academic calendar. 12th pre board practical exams are to be held in the second week of January and UP Board 10th, 12th pre board theory exams are to be held in the third week of January. The examinations of class 9th and 11th are scheduled in the last week of January. The results of these examinations will also come by the third week of February. At the same time, the time for practical exam was fixed from 21st January to 5th February. At the same time, board exams were to be held in the month of February only.
Problems for NCR students
Due to pollution in Delhi NCR, the Supreme Court has ordered to conduct all classes online. All classes will be online till further orders. In such a situation, it will be a challenge for other schools of UP Board included in Noida and NCR to complete the syllabus on time. This can cause problems to both teachers and students.
