Practical examinations of Intermediate (Class 12) of Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education (UP Board) are going to start from 1 February 2025. This exam will be conducted in two phases. In the first phase, examinations will be conducted in the districts of eight divisions from February 1 to 8. This time a major change has been made in the examination system, which will make the entire process more transparent and smooth.

This time the examiners will have to upload marks on the portal directly from the school premises through the mobile app. This is the first time that examiners will enter marks through digital means without any paperwork. The list of examiners, the information of the schools allotted to them and all other documents related to the examination have already been sent to the respective districts.

Tight security and monitoring system

The Secretary of the UP Board has given clear instructions that the experimental examinations will be conducted under CCTV surveillance. It will be mandatory for the principals of all schools to keep the examination recording safe. Apart from this, the examiners have also been instructed to bring Aadhaar card or other legitimate identity card with them during the examination, which will have to be submitted in the school records.

Which districts will be examined in the first phase?

In the first phase, examinations will be conducted in the districts of Aligarh, Meerut, Moradabad, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Varanasi and Gorakhpur divisions. CCTV cameras installed at examination centers have also been reviewed so that the examination can be conducted in a fair and transparent manner. The board has appointed officers to monitor each examination center, who will inspect the smooth operation of the examination.

Helpdesk facility for students

During the examination, helpdesk has been installed in UP Board Headquarters and all regional offices to provide solutions to the students related to any subject, examination stress or other questions. This helpdesk will solve the doubts of the students and will help them to be mentally prepared during the examination.

Efforts to make the exam fair and transparent

The UP board has further strengthened security and monitoring along with technical improvement in this year’s experimental examination. An attempt has been made to end the possibilities of fraud and misconduct by appointing digital intervention and monitoring officers in the examination system.
