UP Police Constable Recruitment Exam continues on the second day as well
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment Exam is going on for the second day today. The exam is being conducted for more than 60,000 vacancies on 23, 24, 25, 30, 31, 2024. This exam will be conducted in 2 shifts daily and about 5 lakh candidates will appear in this exam in each shift.
The exam is being conducted amid tight security
Candidates are being allowed to appear for the exam after strict security and several rounds of checking. During the exam, STF, UP Police and PAC personnel are visible at every step. Apart from this, CCTV and drone cameras are also being used for monitoring.
Four lakh fifty thousand candidates appeared for the exam on the first day
On the first day, the examination was conducted successfully at 1,174 examination centres in 67 districts of the state. Nearly four lakh 50 thousand candidates appeared in the examination held in two shifts. The Director General of Police (DGP) also went to ground zero to take stock of the situation. Due to tight security arrangements inside and outside all the centres, no untoward incident took place anywhere in the state. 56,674 candidates appeared in two shifts at 81 examination centres in the capital Lucknow. Sector magistrates and zonal magistrates were deputed at all centres to ensure a copy-free examination. Along with this, mobile jammers were arranged at all the centres.
DGP Prashant Kumar himself took the charge
DGP Prashant Kumar conducted a surprise inspection of the examination centres located at Government Girl’s Inter College Gomti Nagar and Government Polytechnic Lucknow. During this, he gave necessary guidelines to conduct the examination in a transparent and fair manner. DM Suryapal Gangwar inspected various centres for the Police Recruitment Examination in Lucknow. During this, he examined the arrangements. After Lucknow University, the district magistrate inquired about the arrangements at Ramadhin Singh Inter College located at Babuganj. During the inspection, the DM instructed all centre administrators to conduct the examination in a peaceful manner, without any cheating and with complete transparency.
