4.50 lakh candidates appeared in the UP Police exam on the first day.
Lucknow: Friday was the first day of the constable recruitment exam for Uttar Pradesh Police. Let us tell you that this exam will be completed in five days. On the first day, the exam was conducted amid tight security at 1,174 centers across the state. About 4.50 lakh candidates appeared in the exam held in two shifts on the first day. All the candidates entered the examination center after tight security and several rounds of checking. Director General of Police Prashant Kumar inspected some examination centers in the state capital. He said, “We have inspected the security arrangements at the examination centers. The exams are going on smoothly. CCTVs are working properly. ”
The exam will be completed in five days
Actually, according to Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, this exam is being conducted at 1,174 centers in 67 districts of the state. The exam will be conducted for five days i.e. 23, 24, 25, 30 and 31 August. According to this, candidates will give the exam in two shifts every day. The first shift will be from 10 am to 12 noon while the second shift will be from 3 pm to 5 pm. On the first day, 56,674 candidates appeared in the exam held in two shifts at 81 examination centers in the capital Lucknow. Sector magistrates and zonal magistrates were put on duty at all the centers to conduct the exam without cheating. Also, mobile jammers were arranged at all the centers.
The exam will be free of cheating
In a statement late in the evening, DGP Prashant Kumar said that more than 48 lakh candidates will appear for the exam in about 10 shifts across the state. This exam will be conducted in two shifts in five days in 67 districts of the state. Police officers are deployed everywhere. This time such arrangements have been made so that no one faces any inconvenience. He said that wherever there are reports of irregularities, FIRs have been registered everywhere. Strict action will be taken against them. So far there is no information of question paper leak from anywhere, strict action will be taken against those who are spreading misleading news. The recruitment exam held on 17 and 18 February this year was canceled after allegations of paper leak. Keeping this in mind, the government has made strict security arrangements at every examination center to avoid the use of any unfair means. This exam is being conducted for recruitment to more than 60,000 posts.
DGP inspected in Lucknow
DGP Prashant Kumar conducted a surprise inspection of the examination centers located at Government Girls Inter College Gomtinagar and Government Polytechnic Lucknow. During this, he gave necessary guidelines to conduct the examination in a transparent and fair manner. At the same time, District Magistrate Suryapal Gangwar inspected various centers regarding the police recruitment examination in Lucknow. During this, he investigated the arrangements. At the same time, the candidates in Lucknow expressed satisfaction over the arrangements at the examination center. On the initiative of the Uttar Pradesh government, the Railways added two additional coaches to six trains running from Prayagraj Sangam Railway Station. Nodal officer DCP Ashutosh Dwivedi said that more than 600 police personnel and 950 CCTVs were deployed for the security of 63 examination centers. Apart from this, the help of cameras equipped with artificial intelligence was also taken to keep an eye on the suspects. Due to the alertness of the police and administration, no unpleasant information was received anywhere.
Candidates expressed satisfaction over the arrangements
After the examination, a candidate Ajit Kumar Yadav of Ballia said that “The Uttar Pradesh government made very good arrangements for the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment Examination. Free bus facility was provided for transportation. The examination center was also comfortable and the officers and employees posted there behaved well. There was no inconvenience anywhere.” Another candidate Samar Singh said that “The arrangements at the examination center were good. We are happy because we have got another chance to join the Uttar Pradesh Police.” Apart from male candidates, a large number of female candidates also appeared in the examination. Another candidate Preeti Gupta, who appeared for the examination in the first shift in Lucknow, said that “The question paper was balanced. I am confident that I will pass the examination.” Officials said that the government has implemented strict security measures at every center to prevent the use of unfair means. Senior officials were seen inspecting the examination centers and the arrangements there in the districts.
Munnabhai was caught in some places
According to the news received from Raebareli, an electronic device was found with a candidate during the police recruitment examination, after which the police questioned the candidate and registered an FIR on the complaint of the center admission administrator. Dr. Raj Kishore Srivastava, the center administrator of the police recruitment examination center Acharya Dwivedi Inter College, while giving a complaint to the Kotwali Inspector, said that Upendra Singh, a resident of Purva Tal under Bela police station area of Auraiya district, was giving the examination in the first shift at the examination center and an electronic device Bluetooth was recovered from him. The police was informed about the electronic device found with the candidate and the top officials immediately reached the examination center. The police interrogated the candidate. City Kotwali in-charge Rajesh Singh said that an FIR has been registered on the basis of the complaint. (Input – Agency)
