UPSC CDS 1 Final merit list
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the final merit list of Combined Defense Service (CDS) 1 exam. In this, names of 590 candidates have been shortlisted. Candidates who are going to appear in this examination can see the official merit list by visiting the official website upsc.gov.in. Names of 590 candidates have been shortlisted in this list.
590 candidates selected
These 590 shortlisted candidates have been selected for Officer Training Academy (OTA) Chennai. These include 470 male and 120 female candidates. All of them are to join the 121st Short Service Commission Course (Men) and 35th Short Service Commission Women (Non-Technical) Course starting in April 2025. To download UPSC CDS 1 Final Merit List 2024, candidates need to use their login credentials like registration number and date of birth.
What was said in the notice?
The official notification reads, “The list of 121st Short Service Commission (Men) (NT) (UPSC) course also includes the names of some candidates who were earlier selected for the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Naval Academy on the basis of the result of this examination. Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala and was recommended for admission to the Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course.”
Medical not included
According to UPSC, the results of the medical examination of the candidates have not been taken into account in preparing the UPSC CDS 2024 merit list. The candidature of all the candidates is provisional. Verification of date of birth and qualification of these candidates will be done by the Army Headquarters.

However, the numbers of the candidates will be available on the website of the Commission for 30 days within 15 days from the date of declaration of the final result. Apart from this, they will play an important role in finalizing the eligibility of the candidates. Successful candidates will undergo rigorous training at OTA, Chennai, which will prepare them for their responsibilities as officers in the Indian Armed Forces.
