Allahabad High Court has upheld the ban on issuance of eligibility certificates to UP TET passed B.Ed degree holders. Extending the stay order in the matter, the court has asked the NCTE to file its reply by July 14. Justice Siddhartha gave this order while hearing the petition of Prateek Mishra and four others.
Earlier, in the hearing held on May 12, the court had sought information from the government in view of the decision of the Rajasthan High Court. Along with this, there was a ban on issuing eligibility certificates to the holders of UP TET passed B.Ed degree. The court had asked the government whether the government has issued any direction in view of the decision of the Rajasthan High Court. During the hearing on Tuesday, it was said on behalf of the government that until the NCTE will not issue the notification, it cannot do anything.

On this, the court issued a notice to NCTE and asked it to file a reply. The matter will now come up for hearing in July.
