IIT JAM 2025 Exam Pattern?

Candidates can understand the exam pattern through the points given below.

There will be seven subjects in the JAM 2025 exam. This examination will be in English medium in CBT (Computer Based Test) mode. The duration of this examination is of three hours. There will be 60 questions in this exam which will be of 100 marks. The paper is divided into three sections: A, B and C. Section A contains 30 multiple choice questions (MCQ), section B contains 10 multiple choice questions (MSQ) and section C contains 20 numerical answer type (NAT) questions. For MCQs in this exam, there is negative marking for wrong answers, whereas there is no negative marking in MSQ and NAT.

In this exam, one mark will be given for the correct answer to a question carrying 1 mark and two marks will be given for the correct answer to a question carrying 2 marks. There is no negative marking in Section B and Section C of this exam. However, in Section A, there will be a deduction of ⅓ marks for each wrong answer to a question carrying 1 mark, and there will be a deduction of ⅔ mark for each wrong answer to a question carrying 2 marks.

Admit card released

IIT JAM Admit Card 2025 has been released by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi yesterday i.e. on 6th January. All the candidates who will appear in this Joint Entrance Examination can check and download their admit card from the official website of IIT JAM, jam2025.iitd.ac.in.

Candidates who qualify JAM 2025 will be eligible to apply for admission to approximately 3000 seats in IITs for the academic year 2025-26.
