Why is this exam done?
Joint CSIR UGC NET is an examination conducted to determine the eligibility of Indian citizens for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship (LS)/Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges, provided they meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by the UGC. Meet the criteria. Online applications for JRF/NET are invited twice a year on all India basis through press notification of Joint CSIR-UGC NET for JRF and LS/AP. This examination also determines the eligibility of candidates for Lectureship/Assistant Professorship in Indian Universities/Colleges.
