The ‘feather portal’ launched for students of Kasturba Gandhi Girls School (KGBV) is becoming a transformative digital initiative for girls. This information was given by the UP government spokesperson. This portal, developed in collaboration with Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan and UNICEF, teaches the strategy to the students to fulfill their dreams. If the students get the right direction, stage and confidence, then they can create their own world and this portal is giving new direction to the students of Uttar Pradesh. Through the feather portal, KGBV students get information about various career options like defense, engineering, commerce, medical, sports, music, painting, writing, debate. This portal is providing students to choose a career according to their interest, increase confidence and solve problems. A career corner in every KGBV has an active career corner under the chairmanship of the warden at every KGBV, where the nodal teachers in computer and psychology are regularly providing career guidance to the girl students. Students from class 6 to 12 register their career plan by registering on uppankh.in portal, which they enter in their personal diary. Warden regularly reviews entries in the diary and help students to make an accurate plan, leading to their confidence and clarity. 50 career guidance cards prepared in collaboration with UNICEF have become the center of discussion and dialogue in schools, while big-sized Mind Map Flex is promoting creative interaction and exchange of ideas in career corner.
