Vivo is all set to launch new phones in its popular X-series. We are talking about the Vivo X200 and Vivo X200 Pro. These are the alleged upgraded models of the currently available Vivo X100 series (also launched in India) and will be launched in China soon. A previous report hinted at the launch of both smartphones in October and now Vivo has revealed when these phones will be launched.
GSMArena reports that Vivo has released an invite for its next hardware launch event. Although the ‘Save the Date’ invite does not clearly state anything other than the date of the event, it is speculated that this will be the launch event for Vivo’s premium camera-focused flagship. The event is going to take place in the Chinese capital Beijing. No other details have been shared in the released image.

There have been several leaks and rumours about both phones in the past few months. However, only one of them revealed the live image of the Vivo X200 dummy smartphone.
The images reveal Vivo’s updated design language which now features an iPhone-like design with a flat display, rear panel, and flat sides. The signature circular Vivo camera module remains intact but protrudes significantly from the flat rear panel.

Vivo X200 Pro Specifications (Expected)
Just like the X200, the high-end Vivo X200 Pro is also said to feature a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset. As mentioned earlier, the phone will feature a flat display with slightly curved edges measuring 6.75-inches with a 1.5K screen resolution.
The phone will also get a single-point ultrasonic fingerprint reader. It is being said that the phone will have a 6000mAh battery and there will also be a 200-megapixel telephoto camera on the back.
Vivo X200 Specifications (Expected)
It is being said that MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset will also be available in Vivo X200. This model will have a 6.3-inch flat display with 1.5K resolution. It is being said that its camera setup will not be as powerful as the X200 Pro, because it can get a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
The telephoto camera will also have macro shooting capabilities thanks to the floating lens element like the current models. The phone will have a comparatively smaller 5500mAh – 5600mAh battery.
As the October 14 date draws closer, we can expect more details to emerge about the camera and design of these camera-focused smartphones.
