Despite all the claims, Congress has lost badly in Haryana. Congress, which had distributed the jalebi of victory on the morning of the election results, once again remained away from power and the blame for this is being put on Bhupinder Singh Hooda. Even after this, Hooda is busy in factionalism. Information has been received from Congress sources that he has called a meeting at his Delhi residence on Wednesday evening. 28 MLAs, who are said to be his supporters, are expected to attend this meeting. The stir in Haryana Congress has intensified due to Hooda calling such a meeting. Till now the statement of leaders like Kumari Selja or Randeep Surjewala has not come out on this.
Party sources say that in this meeting it will be discussed who should be given the responsibility of Leader of Opposition in the Assembly. Bhupinder Singh Hooda’s name is being said to be at the forefront as the leader of opposition. Actually, this meeting has also been called by Hooda so that the leader can show his strength for the post of opposition. His supporting MLAs are of the opinion that there should be no change of leadership in the state and the status quo should remain the same. Kumari Selja has demanded that major changes should be made in Haryana Congress. Recently, while talking to the media, he had said that the organization of Haryana Congress has been working in the same way for the last 10 to 12 years. Now there is a need for change in this.
He said that new energy will come only through changes in the organization of Haryana Congress. Let us tell you that this is the first meeting called by Hooda after the Haryana elections. However, it is not clear what will be the stand of the Congress high command on such a show of strength. Actually, Hooda had taken complete command of Haryana elections. It is said that 72 tickets were distributed on his instructions, but when the results came, he started being targeted. The command of the campaign was also in Hooda’s hands and even the events of senior leaders like Rahul Gandhi were set at his behest. Now Bhupinder Singh Hooda is on target for this, but he is in no mood to leave the leadership.
