The ACB team of Chhattisgarh today conducted a search operation at the house of former municipal president Nirmala Godara in Anupgarh. This action has been taken in connection with the case registered against Chhattisgarh Collector Sameer Bishnoi. Sameer Bishnoi is currently a senior administrative officer of Chhattisgarh, but he is accused of being involved in the coal scam. Since Sameer Bishnoi’s in-laws are in Anupgarh, the ACB team conducted a search operation here.
The search operation was conducted in the morning at the house of former municipal president Nirmala Godara, who is a relative of Bishnoi. The ACB team, with the help of the local police, conducted a search operation at Godara’s house at 7 am so that no information could leak out.
Sameer Bishnoi is an IAS officer of Chhattisgarh cadre, who held several important positions in the administrative sector early in his career. During his tenure, he was known as a strict and disciplined officer. But recently his name has surfaced in a major coal scam, which has dealt a serious blow to his reputation.
According to the Rajasthan Patrika report, during the search operation, ACB DCP Rahul Sharma along with his team searched the house. During this, strict security arrangements were made to avoid any kind of external interference. The ACB team has completely closed the house and any kind of information will be shared only after the search.
The coal scam case came to light when an investigation was launched related to illegal mining and distribution of coal in Chhattisgarh. The names of many high-ranking officials and businessmen have surfaced in this scam, among which Sameer Bishnoi is also one. He is accused of misusing his position to benefit some persons involved in illegal mining and distribution of coal. The ACB has registered a case against him.
