Afraid of the unexpected defeat in Haryana, Congress now wants to make a bold move in Maharashtra. Congress, which suffered huge losses in Haryana due to the rebel factor, does not want dissatisfaction among its leaders in Maharashtra also. At the time of ticket distribution, most of the rebels come out. When the leaders’ wish for tickets is not fulfilled, they themselves raise a challenge against their own party. They either move to another party or contest elections as independent candidates if they do not get a place anywhere. Similar situations were seen in Haryana.
Congress’s special plan ready
The Times of India report quoted sources as saying that Congress will first appoint observers in all areas so that dissatisfaction among the leaders can be reduced. Apart from this, they will also be entrusted with the task of keeping them in the party by giving them assurance that they will be satisfied in the future.
The leaders appointed as observers will also be given the responsibility that no party leader should work against his own candidate. Social profile will be kept in mind in the appointment of observers. Two or three observers are being appointed for all five regions. Such as Ashok Gehlot and former CMs Bhupesh Baghel and Charanjit Singh Channu for Mumbai/Konkan region, MP Umang Singhar for Vidarbha, Sachin Pilot and Uttam Reddy for Marathwada. The party has decided to appoint such people as AICC officials who also have strong ground hold. The names of Mukul Wasnik and Avinash Pandey are included in this.
A senior Congress leader said that ticket aspirants who do not get tickets are easy targets for their opponents. By luring them, they cause harm to the party. It was also seen in Haryana that the rebels harmed the candidates of their own party. In such a situation, the party is paying attention to macro management so that Maharashtra does not have to face such a situation. The profile of observers should also be such that they can make promises to the leaders and can also fulfill them.
