Amid the ongoing counting of votes for the Haryana Assembly elections, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Haryana unit state president Mohan Lal Badoli said on Tuesday that he had said at the time of the exit poll itself that Congress has got two days of happiness. He said that the way the trends are coming, BJP is going to form the government for the third time with a clear majority.
Badoli said that at the time of exit poll itself, he had said that Congress has got two days of happiness, 10 years of exile has happened for Congress and BJP’s rule will continue till 2047. BJP State President said that the public will support the policies of BJP. He is satisfied with his work and is with BJP, the proof of this has been found in the assembly elections. Expressing his gratitude to the party workers, he said that the hard work of the workers has paid off.
Let us tell you that in most of the exit polls, the result of Haryana was said to be in favor of Congress. However, the results appear to be the opposite. BJP can form government in Haryana with an overwhelming majority. In the trends, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has crossed the majority mark and is leading on 49 seats while Congress is leading on 35 seats. This information has been obtained from the latest data available on the website of the Election Commission.
The BJP has 41 MLAs in the outgoing assembly (which includes the Adampur seat won in the 2022 by-election), while the Congress has 28 and the JJP has six. Haryana Lokhit Party and INLD have one member each. There are four independents while nine seats are vacant. Dushyant Chautala, the kingmaker of 2019, has not been able to save his own seat.
