Dabwali Chunav Result Live Updates: INLD candidate Aditya Devi Lal Chautala has won from Dabwali. Whereas JJP candidate Digvijay Chautala has lost. Three candidates from the same family were facing each other in the politically important Dabwali assembly seat. Here there was a contest between three members from the family of veteran farmer leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Devi Lal. All three candidates depended on their family inheritance. Sitting Congress MLA Amit Sihag was in the fray from Dabwali, a mainly rural area. Aditya Devi Lal was contesting the elections from Indian National Lok Dal (INLD). Omprakash’s grandson and Ajay’s son Digvijay Chautala were contesting from JJP. Amit Sihag and Aditya Devi Lal are cousins while Digvijay Singh Chautala is his nephew.
In 2019, Aditya had contested the elections for BJP but had to face defeat. After being in the BJP for 10 years, he had switched sides earlier this month after being denied a ticket. JJP candidate Digvijay Chautala is the younger brother of former Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala. Digvijay’s father Ajay Chautala, the founder of JJP, had been an MP and MLA before being convicted in the teacher recruitment scam. Amit Sihag had won from Congress’s side in the 2019 assembly elections.
