Ellenabad Chunav Result Live Updates: The results of assembly elections in Haryana will be declared today. Counting of votes has also started in Ellenabad, one of the 90 seats here, and Abhay Singh Chautala is trailing. INLD leader Abhay Singh is trailing Congress candidate Bharat Singh by 4,900 votes. The election of Ellenabad assembly constituency of Sirsa has become very special this time. Party’s Principal General Secretary Abhay Singh Chautala is contesting from this seat, which is considered the stronghold of Indian National Lok Dal (INLD). He has been MLA four times and is contesting for the fifth time. Amir Chand Mehta is contesting from BJP. His contest is against Bharat Singh Beniwal of Congress. Apart from these, Anjani Ladha from JJP and Manish Arora from Aam Aadmi Party are also trying their luck.
Talking about history, this seat has been the stronghold of Indian National Lok Dal for the last 24 years. In 2000, Ram, the INLD candidate, had won from here. Since then INLD maintained its control. INLD’s Sushil won in 2005 and senior party leader and former Chief Minister Omprakash Chautala won from here in the 2009 assembly elections. However, after winning two seats, he left Ellenabad seat. In the by-election held in 2010, Abhay Singh Chautala defeated Bharat Singh Beniwal of Congress. Abhay Singh Chautala had also defeated Bharat Singh Beniwal of Congress and Pawan Beniwal of BJP in the 2019 assembly elections in Ellenabad assembly seat bordering Rajasthan. This time INLD has formed an alliance with Bahujan Samaj Party in the Haryana Assembly elections.
